'Achieve' to be screened at Detmold filmfest in Germany

Iran short film 'Achieve' has been scheduled to be screened at the 14th edition of the Detmold International Short Film Festival in Germany.

Directed by Mohammad-Reza Minapour, the flick is to represent Iran at the German film event.

'Achieve' depicts a situation where problems arise as an Afghan couple seeks to emigrate to Europe through Iran’s border.

Pedram Niloufari, Reza Mehdizadeh, Vian Azizpour and Somayyeh Alizadeh are among the short film cast.

Founded in 2005, the Detmold International Short Film Festival is being held annually and hosts films made by innovative filmmakers from Germany, Europe and around the world.

The festival focuses more on non-commercial short films. The event showcases documentary, animated and feature, as well as experimental films.

The 2018 edition of the event is slated for June 21-24, in Detmold, Germany.
